Meet the New and Improved DMC Campaign Planner

At DMC, we are in a constant state of improvement and strive to present to you the best possible version of ourselves. Our product team tirelessly works to improve and enhance our existing product suite to maximise its utility and give you an immaculate user experience regardless of the obstacles we may encounter. Today we would like to announce a continuation of these efforts by upgrading DMC Campaign Planner.

Facebook recently underwent a significant change involving the deprecation of one of their key interest suggestion API. This change adversely affected DMC campaign planner by severely restricting its ability to fetch interest segments from Facebook making it extremely difficult to formulate a campaign plan. By initiating this change, Facebook effectively added another layer of obscurity to an already black boxed ecosystem.

Not to fret, we have a solution

We recognised that this predicament would be severely hinder your ability to effectively plan and activate campaigns on Facebook. To combat this, our team worked tirelessly to not only strategize a solution to overcome problem, but also simultaneously improve the performance of DMC Campaign planner’s interest recommendation algorithm.

Considering that DMC Campaign planner could no longer use audience passion points to fetch interest recommendation from Facebook, our team took this opportunity to explore new methods of generating campaign plans that were not only more robust, but also better suited to our client’s needs. After countless hours of research and experimenting, we concluded that that account relevancy had a vital role to play in determining accurate and relevant interest suggestions.

To effectively incorporate this nuance into DMC campaign planner, we decided to take into consideration key details of the Facebook account used to generate the plan when giving interest recommendations. Factoring in account relevancy enabled DMC campaign planner to fetch far more relevant and unique interest recommendations. Account relevancy, along with the information from your input brief allows DMC Campaign Planner to formulate truly tailor-made campaign plans that accommodate for every nuance from your client’s brief.

By using account relevancy as a key input, DMC Campaign planner enables you to create truly customised campaign plans by delivering interest recommendations with a degree of precision and efficiency that it has never been able to before.

What does this mean for you?

With the New DMC Planner update, you will now be able to generate a Facebook campaign plan that is much more unique and customised as per the client’s Facebook ad account. All this, with no change in how you would create a plan on DMC. Our team worked hard to ensure that you avail all the benefits of this update while keeping the process of generating a plan the same as it was previously.

How do you create a plan?

Give DMC a starting point by entering your client’s details. Then select the Facebook account you want to create a plan for and hit activation plan.

Next select audience lens and fill out the audience brief. Select the gender, age range and even the location of your target audience. Once you have completed this step, hit configure activation.

The activation brief will require you to fill out details of your campaign like your goal, budget, and date range. Once you have completed this step, press create plan and sit back
