Dentsu Marketing Cloud Is Now Faster With the New DMC Content Delivery Network

We’re constantly amazed by what our users around the world are able to do with the Dentsu Marketing Cloud (DMC) ecosystem for their clients. To make sure that DMC can fit any use case you imagine and help you deliver great experiences, we sometimes need to take a step back and make sure we have the right foundation to continue building upon.

Whether you are a small team and using a small number of services on the Dentsu Marketing Cloud or you are handling many many accounts and client campaigns using the entire breadth of solutions provided by the DMC ecosystem, we do realise that the Dentsu Marketing Cloud plays an essential role in your day-to-day work.

As the Dentsu Marketing Cloud continues to grow in the quantum of solutions offered as well as scales across Dentsu Worldwide, adding many more users and client accounts each month, some growing pains are inevitable. Your runs may take time to load, all elements of the UI may not load up at one time or it could make you wait for an output.

Last week, we announced a system wide down time for 2 hours to add architectural upgrades to DMC’s foundational technology, creating a more capable, performant platform that scales with and breaks down other barriers to information, insights and productivity.

Over the past 4 years, including the most recent downtime, we have invested heavily in the infrastructure and software to build a platform that offers a great experience to our users all over the planet. These have formed the foundation of the Dentsu Marketing Cloud’s CDN (Content Delivery Network), which caches content in locations all over the world to help you load your runs, perform functions and fetch insights at a much faster speed.

Dentsu Marketing Cloud CDN caches your view of DMC in 117 locations and many more network edges around the world, placing your access to DMC’s content close to your geographic location, usually within one network hop through your ISP.

A map of various network edges and locations around the world connecting various continents and sub-regions. Now, when you hit dentsumarketing.cloud, you will now reach the site and output much faster as the system will get you the site through an edge closest to your location

Key benefits for you:

  • Faster loading of the site
  • Improved speed on runs on the Dentsu Marketing Cloud
  • Better user experience

We look forward to our users benefitting from this as we continue to improve the platform to delight you with some great and industry leading proprietary solutions.
