Getting Started with DAN Data Labs

Welcome to Dentsu Marketing Cloud, an ecosystem designed to power up your marketing activities in a data-driven way, that aims at making the entire shift from Campaign Planning to Real-Time Optimization seamless and effective.

With this onboarding and access guide we have put together a flow to authenticate users with their official DAN as well as Facebook email IDs. This makes sure that your data is more secure, where your Facebook login gives us the capability to provide access to your Ad Accounts as well as Pages on the console.

Here’s how you can get started:

1. Enter URL in Chrome: https://dandatalab.com

2. Complete a one-time authorization process with your official DAN email ID.

3. As an added security check, complete Okta verification process to proceed:

4. Login to your Facebook account (do not forget to disable your pop-up blocker), as prompted by the system.

5. Post completing your first-time login process, each login will take you to the Home Page directly on typing the URL.

6. On reaching the Home Page you’ll see modules you are subscribed to as active whereas, modules you are not subscribed to will show as inactive (greyed out). However, you can click on the inactive module’s tile and ask for a trial through the console. The request will be sent to your Admin or the DAN Data Sciences Team, which shall then be treated accordingly.

After the access is granted, you shall be able to use the tools right away once you log out and re-login to the platform.

In order to enable the tools to get access to data from your Ad Accounts, you’ll need to assign gautam.mehra@dentsuaegis.com as an Advertiser for the Ad Accounts and Pages you intend to use DMC for. The Business Manager access can be at an Employee level.

To give access to Gautam:

1. Navigate to Facebook Business Manager

2. Go to your ad account settings in Ads Manager. You may be asked to re-enter your password.

3. Under Ad account roles, select Add people.

4. Enter the name or email address of the person you want to give access to and use the drop-down menu to choose their role.

5. Click on Confirm to send the request. In case you need to share the FB invite Link click on Resend.

Since, the tools are tied to Gautam.mehra@dentsuaegis.com, which is a white-listed account, the access enables DMC to fetch data from your ad accounts and use on the console for insights and optimization.
